The company announces that WN Hugill, the Managing Director, has today exercised
an option over 398,437 ordinary shares in the company at 150.6p per share. The
option was held under the terms of the company's approved Employee Share Option
Scheme and the last day for exercise of the option is 16 December 2003.


Following the exercise of the option, the beneficial interest of Mr Hugill in
the share capital of the company has increased to 915,256 shares.
