Vinci SA said Monday that it has signed a contract worth 114 million Australian dollars ($86.9 million) to replace a bridge in New South Wales, Australia.

The French construction and infrastructure company said its Australian subsidiary, Seymour Whyte Ltd., signed an agreement with Transport for New South Wales to build a new 349-meter bridge on the Kings Highway above the Clyde River.

The construction project will involve demolishing the current bridge and building the new one, constructing new safety barriers and landscaping work on the Clyde riverbank, the company said.

The road provides the main link between Australian capital Canberra and New South Wales.
