PARIS, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alcatel (NYSE: ALA; Paris: CGEP.PA) today announced that its IP portfolio is being deployed by T-Com, the broadband and fixed network unit of Deutsche Telekom in 10 major German cities including Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, and Stuttgart. The Alcatel IP/MPLS-based portfolio will be a part of the platform for innovative services such as IPTV and interactive consumer services. This deployment is in line with Deutsche Telekom's announcement to invest up to euro 500 million in order to provide high-level triple play services in 10 large cities of Germany.
