MILWAUKEE, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Harley-Davidson Museum(TM),
scheduled to open in summer 2008, has rolled out the details of its
unique special event capabilities. With a combination of
customizable indoor and outdoor spaces located near downtown
Milwaukee, the Harley-Davidson Museum can accommodate an intimate
gathering of 20 to freewheeling festivities for 15,000. (Photo:

of the industrial steel, glass and brick Harley-Davidson Museum
buildings, combined with motorcycles and exhibits, create a
one-of-a-kind venue for events that guests will remember for years
to come. Indoor event spaces are equipped for as few as 20 people
and as many as 1,050. With its clean and simple room interiors, the
Harley-Davidson Museum is geared up to host a corporate meeting,
wedding or other social gathering. All of the indoor meeting spaces
are equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities and
feature floor-to-ceiling views of the Milwaukee skyline and
Menomonee River. For outdoor events, the Museum's vibrant, open
green spaces can handle as many as 15,000 people. And for a true
rally atmosphere, outdoor spaces will be equipped with electricity
for bands and live entertainment. The Museum grounds, which will be
open to the public, will feature picnic and seating areas in
welcoming outdoor spaces, allowing people to gather and enjoy the
unique Museum architecture and Milwaukee riverfront. "The
Harley-Davidson Museum is not your typical Museum and by hosting an
event at the Harley-Davidson Museum, you're not just giving your
guests an unforgettable experience, you're giving them a glimpse
into life less ordinary," said Stacey Schiesl, Harley-Davidson
Museum director. "While your guests will have plenty of stories to
read from the Museum exhibits, the best stories will come from
their experience at your event." The Museum will offer a variety of
customizable menus, all delivered with a hearty, classic American
flavor and an out-of-the-ordinary spin. Partnering with Levy
Restaurants, who have more than 30 years experience in a variety of
venues across the country, menu options will cover everything from
breakfast to formal dinners. Menu selections include offerings such
as "Road King Breakfast" with all the fixings, "Brake Out"
afternoon snacks of penny candy and root beer floats and a New York
strip steak prepared on a custom-built barbeque, fired up right
outside the Museum. While the Museum will offer many unique food
entrees, such as Crispy Reuben Potato Pancakes, guests will also be
able to make their own menu suggestions to truly customize their
event to their preferences and budget. "The Harley-Davidson Museum
is already generating exciting buzz in the hospitality industry as
convention, meeting planners and group tour operators are always
looking for that one-of-a-kind venue to host events and bring
visitors," said Doug Neilson, president and CEO, VISIT Milwaukee.
"This Museum, with its variety of indoor and outdoor event space,
historic bikes and incredible exhibits, is going to be a
significant new addition to the Milwaukee tourism landscape and
attract groups from throughout the world." Conveniently located
near Milwaukee's Amtrak and Greyhound terminals and Mitchell
International Airport, guests will have an easy ride to the
Harley-Davidson Museum. Whether riding in on two wheels or four,
there will be ample parking for approximately 500 cars or 3,000
motorcycles. The Museum has begun taking reservations for events
held after Labor Day 2008. Visit
