Consolacion TORONTO, April 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On April
15, 2008 Nexis International Industries Inc. (Pink Sheets: NXSI -
News; Frankfurt Bourse: 3nx.f) http://www.nexisint.com/ established
an agreement with the Municipality of Consolacion for the long term
supply of waste to a Nexis Manufacturing Plant, to be constructed
in the Cebu Province of the Philippines. The Municipality of
Consolacion is among the largest in the Cebu Province. Under this
Agreement, the Municipality will provide Nexis with up to 750,000
tonnes of mixed solid dry waste per year over 25 years. Nexis
"Green" technology to deliver 80,000 affordable houses per year in
Philippines The Nexis International Manufacturing System uses
"Green" technology to convert landfill destined waste into
environmentally friendly building panels, marketed under the trade
name "5Stargreen(TM)" for use in the construction of modular
houses. A Nexis Manufacturing Plant will be established in the
Province of Cebu, to process this waste and produce high volume
building panels for affordable dwellings in the Philippines.
Depending upon the design of the houses, this Nexis Manufacturing
Plant will be able to deliver at least 80,000 houses annually to
the Philippines economy community. Nexis is presently negotiating
with potential licensees for the long term distribution of the
5Stargreen(TM) panels and modular houses in Philippines. Following
due-diligence on the waste supply and plant site, Nexis will be
pursuing project financing for the Nexis Manufacturing Plant. The
company's Executive Chairman, Walter Filler, said that this
agreement was a major step in establishing a Nexis plant in Cebu
and reflected over two years of intensive investigation by Nexis
into the feasibility of the region for Nexis. He said that on-site
planning for the plant would be commenced immediately upon
appointment of a country licensee. Healthy financial returns
expected for the 750ktpa Cebu Nexis plant Nexis International will
derive revenue from waste processing fees, plant profits, end sales
of 5Stargreen panels to the market and up-front license fees
Funding for the plant would be made after demand for 5Stargreen(TM)
panel products had been contracted. The plant would have a waste
processing capacity of up to 750ktpa, compared with a benchmark
standard plant with a processing capacity of 250ktpa. Benchmark
returns to Nexis International, from a standard plant of 250ktpa is
approximately Euro 144 million per year. The projected returns from
the proposed 750ktpa plant in Cebu are currently being assessed but
expected to be in line with the size of this plant. Investment in
ramping-up to full capacity would take up to 3 years from
commissioning and would be in response to market demand. Rahoul Ray
