                               Directorate change


The Board of C.H.E. Group PLC announces that Michael Finkleman has today
resigned as Chief Executive.


Since Michael joined the Group in March 2001 the company has been through a
difficult period of reconstruction and downsizing. Owing to the changed dynamics
of the Group he has decided to leave to pursue other business opportunities. The
Board recognises and thanks him for his contribution.


David Cook has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive in addition to
continuing in his role as Finance Director, the position he has held since
joining the Group from Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in August 2001. David has
worked in the hotel sector for 37 years and during that time has obtained a
wealth of experience in both financial and operating matters.
