    Cancellation of Trading on AIM


    1700 Group Plc announces today that it intends to apply for trading in its ordinary shares on AIM to be cancelled. Such cancellation is
conditional upon the consent of shareholders voting on a special resolution at a general meeting. The Company will shortly be posting a
circular to shareholders convening a general meeting that will contain a proposal to cancel the Company's share capital to trading on AIM
and provide full details of the reasons behind the proposal.

    The general meeting is scheduled to take place on 19 December at the offices of Grant Thornton, 30 Finsbury Square, London, EC2P 2YU. 
If shareholders vote in favour of the resolution, cancellation of the Company's AIM admission will take effect at 7am on 31 December 2008.
