Kreinberg Elected to Dow Corning Corporation Board of Directors MIDLAND, Mich., May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Romeo Kreinberg, senior vice president for Plastics, The Dow Chemical Company, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Dow Corning Corporation. His election was approved at the Dow Corning May 4 Board meeting and is effective immediately. In a related move, Andrew Liveris, who became Dow president and CEO last November, is stepping down from the Dow Corning Board of Directors. "We welcome Romeo to our Board, and look forward to the wealth of international business growth knowledge and experience he brings to the team," said Stephanie Burns, Dow Corning president and CEO. Burns also extended her appreciation and thanks to Liveris for the significant contributions he has made to Dow Corning's Board. Kreinberg joined Dow in 1977 and held a series of sales, marketing, business operations and commercial management positions in Europe until 1992, when he was named general manager for Dow Italy and vice president of Dow Europe. He subsequently held global vice president and business group president positions until he assumed his current position at Dow in 2003. In 2004, he became a member of Dow's Office of the Chief Executive. A graduate of the National University of Architecture and City Planning, Buenos Aires, Kreinberg serves on other boards including the U.S. Council for International Business and Univation Technologies.
