Among the companies whose shares are expected to actively trade
in Wednesday's session are Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Boeing Co. (BA)
and Corning Inc. (GLW).
Amazon.com's third-quarter earnings plunged 73% because of its
expensive spending program, as the No. 1 Internet retailer by sales
said it could report an operating loss in the key fourth quarter.
Shares slid 13% to $198.38 premarket.
Boeing Co.'s (BA) third-quarter earnings rose 31% on a
double-digit rise in profit at the defense segment, though total
revenue didn't grow as much as expected. Shares rose 4% to $66.28
premarket as the defense and aerospace company raised its full-year
earnings estimate.
Corning Inc.'s (GLW) third-quarter earnings rose 3.3% as the
company's revenue climbed. Shares were up 5.7% at $14.50 premarket
as a drop in adjusted profit wasn't as deep as expected.

fourth-quarter profit as the Internet traffic service provider said
it booked solid year-over-year gains across all regions and strong
product sales. Shares shot up 9.4% to $97.10 in premarket trade as
core earnings and revenue easily topped the company's own
forecasts.

operating margin. Shares were up 11% at $128 premarket as earnings,
revenue and same-store sales growth all beat projections.
Broadcom Corp.'s (BRCM) third-quarter earnings fell 21% as a
series of one-time charges masked a better-than-expected core
profit driven by broad-based revenue growth. Shares still fell 4.3%
to $34.25 premarket as the chip maker issued a dim revenue forecast
of $1.7 billion to $1.8 billion for the fourth quarter.
C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc.'s (CHRW) third-quarter earnings

HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Phase 3 trial evaluating regorafenib,

sclerosis drug BG-12 met primary goal in the hotly anticipated

be all-time high. Biogen said at two years, BG-12 reduced
annualized relapse rate versus placebo by 44% for a twice-daily

were greater than the levels seen with Teva's (TEVA, TEVA.TV)

where a portion of the broadband-products maker's communication and
commercial optical products are manufactured.
