Dow Corning Obtains Global Registration to ISO9001: 2000 MIDLAND, Mich., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dow Corning Corporation has been granted global quality registration to ISO9001: 2000, by BSI, Inc., the leading North American management systems registrar. The certification reflects the company's determination to meet customers' needs for quality and consistency globally. The ISO 9000 family of standards represents an international consensus on good management practices with the aim of ensuring that an organization can continually deliver the product or services that meet the client's quality requirements. To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a quality management system (QMS) embracing all company's activities, including: staff training, customer interaction, meeting customer requirements, product design and development, purchasing materials and services, and delivering products and services. Dow Corning obtained global registration to ISO9001: 1994 in July 2002 and has now completed the transition to the new standard.
