VANCOUVER, May 21, 2015 /CNW/ - Tintina Resources Inc.
("Tintina" or the "Company") (TSX.V:"TAU"; OTCQX: "TINTF") is
pleased to announce the submission of the results of the recent
aquifer test work at the Company's flagship Black Butte Copper
Project to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality
(DEQ).
The aquifer test work utilized cutting-edge discharge technology
that consumed water using agronomic uptake and evaporation over a
17 acre area Land Application Disposal (LAD) system under timed
controlled releases, which eliminated infiltration to groundwater
or discharge to surface water. All local water resources were
completely protected by using this system. The results of the
test will be made available on the Tintina website along with other
completed studies on the project.
Tintina has contracted an independent consultant, Hydrometrics,
Inc., based in Helena, Montana, to
complete a detailed hydrological model using the test data which
will be included in Tintina's application for a Mine Operating Plan
(MOP).
The MOP application will comply with all environmental
regulations including presenting a clear plan to prevent any
detrimental effect to water quality or quantity in the nearby
drainages during operations, and a return to a natural water
balance at mine closure.
A series of open-to-the-public tour days will occur on the first
day in each month. The tours will visit the project site and
participants will have an opportunity to discuss our plans at our
main office in White Sulphur Springs,
Montana.
Vice President of Exploration Jerry
Zieg stated, "We are pleased to make these results available
to everyone as we progress with our detailed studies on the Black
Butte Copper Project. Water quality is critical to all of us
and we are committed to 'Doing it Right from the Beginning'. Please
come and visit us, take a tour, and ask us questions."
