Mailers to Create More Effective, Higher Value Mailpieces DA950 and
DA400 Integrated Desktop Solutions Deliver Efficient and Effective
Envelope Imaging for Professional & Frequent Mailers STAMFORD,
Conn., April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes today
announced the introduction of the DA950 and DA400 fixed-head,
high-speed address printing systems that offer frequent and
professional mailers enhanced productivity and labor savings. Both
user-friendly addressing systems offer an intelligent, integrated
conveyor stacker and adjustable high-output ink drying system that
communicates with the printer to ensure proper workflow and
enhanced performance. "Given the huge popularity of the National
Do-Not-Call Registry, mailers are compelled to maximize the value
of each mailpiece to garner attention and drive response rates in
an increasingly competitive direct mail marketplace," said Timothy
M. Bates, Vice President, Customer Marketing, Pitney Bowes. "As
marketers turn off telemarketing campaigns, direct mail is expected
to grow significantly. These two new DA Series systems can help
mailers get the right message or offer to the right person, at the
right time." The DA950, which is engineered for the professional
mail center environment with monthly mail volumes up to one million
pieces, is designed on a precision, fixed-head print architecture,
and features an optional integrated conveyor stacker system. This
allows the DA950 to run more efficiently by detecting if the
printer is out of media, a stoppage has occurred, or if the stacker
is full. The DA950 also offers high capacity input and output as
well as an efficient Bulk Ink Processing Solution that can save
mailers money when compared to individual ink cartridge
consumption. The DA400 brings many of the advanced features and
functions of the DA950 to the frequent mailer, including the
optional integrated conveyor stacker, adjustable high-output ink
dryer, and spot color capability. It also handles a wide range of
media up to 1/8" thick and coated stock. The DA400 offers mailers
with volumes of up to 240,000 pieces per month, a high-speed,
integrated address printing solution that can help them process
their mailings faster, while reducing downtime and costs. "The new
DA950 and DA400 are engineered to deliver industry-leading
performance and reliability, which translates into higher
productivity and reduced costs for frequent and professional
mailers," said Tim K. Rohach, Marketing Manager, Mail Creation
Products, Pitney Bowes. "Both systems can handle a wide range of
media and coated materials and offer spot color printing that help
increase openability and response rates. The speed and reliability
of these DA Series address printing systems can mean quicker
turnaround of mailing runs, which results in quicker customer
contact and higher impact for mailers. Customers can further
benefit from Pitney Bowes' professional, advanced end-user
training, which enables mailers to fully leverage the features and
functions of these integrated solutions to deliver high levels of
performance." These two new DA Series envelope imaging systems
complement Pitney Bowes broad range of existing Mail Management
solutions. The company offers hardware, software and services that
help mailers of all sizes automate the formatting, creation,
folding and inserting of documents to create professionally
finished mail pieces that can then be address-verified,
