Lawsuit filed by the State of Piauí

 

 

Rio de Janeiro, June 7, 2024, Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A – Eletrobras, following the Relevant Fact disclosed to the market on May 31, 2024, on Original Civil Action No. 3,024 ("ACO 3,024"), pending before the Federal Supreme Court, hereby announces the following:

 

On June 6, 2024, Minister Luiz Fux, rapporteur of ACO 3,024, issued a court decision accepting the claim filed by Eletrobras, attributing suspensive effect to the motion for declaratory relief filed in view of the judgment previously rendered, and determining the suspension of the provisional execution until the final and unappealable decision of the case.

 

Thus, at this time, any coercive measure against Eletrobras in the sense of the collection presented by the state of Piauí is excluded.

 

The company will continue to adopt all appropriate procedural measures to defend its interests in the proceedings.
