Corning Inc. (GLW) sees "almost no impact" on orders from Japanese customers following the massive earthquake in March, an executive said Wednesday.

Alan T. Eusden, chairman and president of Corning Display Technologies Taiwan, told reporters the company's plants in Japan and Taiwan are still running at full capacity.

Corning, the world's biggest supplier of glass used to make liquid-crystal-display screens in televisions, sells the 'Gorilla' brand of scratch-resistant glass to some of the world's biggest manufacturers of handheld and tablet devices including Dell Inc., LG Electronics Inc. and Motorola Inc. It is also used in Samsung Electronics Co.'s tablet device, Galaxy Tab.

In Japan, Corning has glass-making facilities in Shizuoka and Sakai city. In Taiwan, it has plants in southern and central Taiwan.
